What punchline!

I loved this quote from page 270 of Foer's Moonwalking with Einstein:
"... it’s about taking a stand against forgetfulness, and embracing primal capacities from which too many of us have become estranged. ... it’s about nurturing something profoundly and essentially human."
And of course it is!
What else can be said but what Foer states in the last few pages of his Epilogue? Perhaps a revisiting is necessary in any case. The memory is the way we come to be who we are in a very similar way that we can't know what we think until we see what we say. Or to quote (from memory) T.S. Eliot's Four Quartets: "We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time."

Simonides of Ceos, you truly were an inspiration to us all!

Now I'm off to create a PAO system. ;)
